Crisis management from top with the motto “austerity” does not ‘only’ mean wage and retirement cuts, joblessness and the collapse of the health system. Governments, right parties and parts of the population have found their scapegoats. In the past five years racist measures against persons without valid residence permits and smear campaigns against migrants have risen immensely. The ruling crisis management brings repression and social divisions – to separate any possible resistance and to isolate people, especially migrants and refugees, from any social basis.
We hope to discuss these developments and possible counter-strategies with comrades and friends from many countries.
